Undated Planner Daily/Weekly/Monthly Organizer

I have always wanted a planner that was undated and I could use my creative imagination to create something that was personalized to me and my needs. This planner did exactly that. Each month has a full calendar that is blank and then the following pages in between the full month spread are spaces to add in more details if needed. 

I was honestly surprised by the quality. You never really know what you are going to get when you order something online and this is made of such high quality. The cover is thick and sturdy. Made out of a soft matte material. It feels so nice. The pages are thick and ink does not bleed through them.

I love everything about this planner. It works really well for my needs. I really think that this planner is going to help me get super organized which is very important to me. I have to juggle work, school activities, and sports. I am able to write down all concerts, appointments, practices, and games with ease.

Overall, this planner is great. You get 12 months of blank calendars and pages to write out all the details that you need to so you can stay organized.

This is a planner that I will stand behind 100%. I would recommend to anyone and everyone.

EASTERUP Lotus Earrings

I love a good pair of earrings and these are just beautiful. They are layer like earrings. You have the bar that goes on the front of the lobe and then the lotus leaves that go on the back. They are secured by a typical earring backing. 

You get two pairs of earrings. You get a silver plated set and a gold plated set. Both are the same design. These would make a great gift for the special lady in your life! 

There really isn't anything that I dislike about these. They are lightweight and comfortable to wear.

"Matte" Lip Gloss by ETEREAUTY

So, every girl loves her some nice matte liquid lipstick and that was what drew me to this product in the first place. So, lets get right down and dirty, into the nitty gritty of it.

CLAIMS:

• Matte. 
• These are not matte. They have a lip gloss consistency and they stay that way. No matter how long you wait, these will not dry. 
• Waterproof and long lasting.
• Well, since they are not matte, they are not waterproof. They came off so easily with drinking and eating, which in turn, made it so I had to reapply often. 
• Bold colors. 
• There are some highly pigmented colors in this set. All of them cover my lips with just one coat. I am intrigued by the purples and the blue, but have yet to try those on my lips. 
• Easy to remove.
• These do come off easily with some makeup remover. Although I did find that they stained by skin a little bit while I was doing swatches. 

PROS:

• Unique colors. 
• Easy to remove. 
• Quick and easy application. 

CONS: 

• Not matte.
• Smells of chemicals. 
• Can potentially stain skin. 
• Not waterproof. 

OVERALL:

Am I disappointed in this product? Maybe just a little because I thought that they were going to be some new matte colors to add to my collection. The colors are great and I am excited to play with them a little bit more. I am sad that they are just basically a lip gloss, but you live and you learn.

Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson

This book is a very well written process of how Bryan Stevenson spent many many years attempting to bring justice to those of color with an emphasis on youth and those on death row. He really shows deep compassion and understanding for these inmates and works through The Equal Justice Initiative to bring them justice. The introduction of the book mentions the number of people who are wrongly convicted and sentenced to death and eventually executed to be later proved innocent. That right there is the imperfection that Stevenson was trying to make right...or as right as possible. 

This is a great read and very well written. Once I got this book, I had a really hard time putting it down. You really get to see the struggle of the poor and the blacks in the south and it is really an eye opening book.

Shylock Is My Name: A Novel (Hogarth Shakespeare) by Howard Jacobson

If you are a fan of The Merchant of Venice then this is a book that I would highly recommend. This book, as you could probably tell by the title, is mostly focused on the character Shylock and we really get to know him well in this book. I have never read any of the books in Hogarth Shakespeare series, so to be honest, I was not 100% sure what to expect. I was not disappointed. 

Jacobson did a great job in showing who Shylock really is. He made this clear with the tender and elegant conversations he showed between Shylock and his dead wife. 

Jacobson turned the once tragedy and comedy play that was once written, into a book with a huge emphasis on comedy. I feel like this gives us a look into Jacobson and his understanding of Shakespeare and really his love for this type of literature. 

I am very interested in reading more books in this series. I wish I had heard of it earlier so that I could have gotten in the game with everyone else, but I am happy I found this book!

High Power LED Flashlight

This is a really nice flashlight and if you are looking for something high quality and heavy duty like I was, then you are going to absolutely love this one. You can use it for many tasks, but we plan on keeping this one at camp for those late night walks. You get the carrying case, the flash light, a battery charger, an 18650 rechargeable battery, and the AAA battery adapter. You can use three different types of batteries with this flashlight so that makes it super convenient. As I was taking the flashlight out of the box I noticed that it was very heavy and durable feeling so that was great. I also noticed that it had several light modes and man is this thing extremely bright. All you have to do is push the power button it changes between the 5 modes. You can also zoom the light too! Definitely a high quality flashlight that will get a lot of love in our home!

Girl in Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow

I have to say that this is definitely one of the most powerful books that I have ever read. Charlotte...the main character in this book wakes up in a psychiatric hospital after trying to commit suicide...honestly her past would make anyone want to disappear. She has been through so many critical events such as being homeless, abuse, and being raped. She self medicated her self with drugs and alcohol. Charlies found a way to cope: cutting. 

Charlie really starts out by having nobody, but in the end she finds people that she can turn to. People to rely on. This book mad me laugh, cry, smile, cry some more, and realize that you really need to have hope in your life and good people to fall on if need be. 

I got this book and just let it sit for a few days...I wasn't 100% sure I wanted to read it but now I recommend this book to all my book buddies. It is intense and will tear your heart wide open. It is written in a way that you can feel how Charlie feels and it can be very overwhelming. Hearing her story from her point of view is incredible.
